Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Auburn

This is a small, 2 story hotel with no elevator. My original room was on the first floor but it was very musty and moldy. It had a room purifier going but I never could have stayed there. So I was moved to an upstairs room. Fortunately, the young man helped me get all my stuff up the steps. The room and bathroom were clean and so were the sheets and towels. The a/c worked well. The room only had a refrigerator. I was led to believe there would be a microwave and coffee maker but apparently those are the more $$$ rooms. And the fitness center is in conjunction with a local gym. The water pressure and hot water were fantastic. The water did go on the floor so a shower liner would be helpful. There was some mold on the bath door jam which I wiped off and told the manager the next morning. The breakfast was good enough. I think while this hotel is undergoing a slow makeover, it's hit or miss. But for the price, I think it was fair. It was quiet and I felt safe. And the staff were friendly and helpful.

My stay at the microtel in Auburn was great I enjoyed the cleanliness of my room the great morning breakfast the courteous customer service and most of all I enjoyed my room I have to comment on a statement made on one of the reviews the staff thoroughly cleans that musty smell is a customer and I smell it myself it's not the rooms it's a few customers and they have said they've been here a few months ago and that musty smell follow them everywhere they go it's not the customer service it's not the staff it's the customer one or two of the customers upstairs that's on the ground right now is musty and have been for the last week and one more thing this place was very peaceful and smelling aromatic until those people came you can smell them through the air condition vent but it's not the hotel fault these people need to bathe it's no excuse they got water and soap in every room

Road-tripping with a family of 4. We needed a cheap place to sleep for the night. Based on price I expected the room to be okay, but it far exceeded my expectations! The room was spacious, and had ample storage space for us to throw our suitcases. The room was much cleaner than anticipated. No dingy, gross carpet. The bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly. The breakfast included hot waffles. I would 100% recommend this hotel!

I checked in around 2AM last week at some point. I was dead tired and the young lady, Tori i think, was super nice and helpful. The first room she put me in, the AC wasn't working, but she apologized profusely, and switched my room, which was clean and AC working. Recommend this hotel if you're looking for a clean room for a fair price.

Clean and pleasant for the price. I was in town on a very busy college weekend and had to get a place that was rated below my usual preference. The first night I stayed across the street at a different budget hotel and it was terrible, dirty, dangerous and smelled awful. Switching over to Microtel the second night was a breath of fresh air. It was clean, the staff were pleasant, and the air was fresh.The rooms were small, a little bit of damage to a wall and not the amenities I would usually want, but for the price, location, availability, convenience and cleanliness, I was happily surprised.

I have stayed there a few times. It might need a little upgrade but hands down the staff is amazing!! There was a younger Indian girl that worked behind the font desk and she was absolutely amazing and was extremely professional!! I will be back just because how much pride she took in her job and her demeanor!

Nice place for the money. Easy to miss as you get off the interstate and there's only one entrance. Overall great choice.

We traveled to Auburn for a one day event recently and, because we expect to have a student in school there in the near future, have been on the lookout for good places to stay. This Microtel has going for it a friendly staff and a quiet location. The room was a bit musty when we first went in but turning on the air conditioner took care of that. There were some slight stains on the sheets, the bathroom floor was not perfectly clean. One advantage at this location: there is a grab bar next to the tub. The breakfast menu was simple but the choices were all good. Overall, a good value.
